Shama’ (Shaw-mah’) is Hebrew for "Hear and Obey".
One of the goals of these Groups is then, to not just
come and have fun and study. But, to put the session
subject into each Group Members heart and then for them
to take it to the street (apply it to their lives).

Shama Groups

Another
word that has some special meanings connected with the idea
of Shama’ Groups is Synago.
Synago (syn-AH-go) is Greek for "come together."
So this Shama’ Group is about coming together for
fellowship, worship, sharing, praying, studying and then
living it out each day in your life. Synago is the root
word for "Synagogue" also.
Synago can also be translated "to take in." One of the
purposes of the Shama’ Group is to reach out and invite
others. That are not a part of a church and who don’t
have a relationship with Yahweh / Yahshua (GOD - LORD /
Jesus). They may also be those that are seeking or perhaps
struggling with faith, or those just wanting to grow spiritually
to the next level. The Shama’ Group takes in and loves
one another.
Synago is also the root word of synergy, where the coming together
of individual parts makes something even greater. When the
Shama’ Group flows as one with many parts (gifts of
each Group Member) then the Kingdom of Yahweh / Yahshua,
the Shama’ Group and its Members reach their Divine
Destiny.
The Shama’ Groups are about Seeking
Truth for Truth’s sake and the Restoration of All
Things of The Kingdom
The
Scriptural Foundation for Shama’ Groups
Yahshua
said it...
"For where two or three come together in my name, there
am I with them." Matit’yah (Matthew) 18:20
- Although Yahshua taught in the "Synagogue",
most of His ministry was outside of a "Synagogue"
(religious) building of any kind. In other words, He was
not contained by the walls of a building or man made religious
organization/system. The Kingdom is wherever Yahshua is,
to be effective Kingdom Members we must be sensitive to
the presence of the King - Messiah, wherever He is! Remember,
The Father (Yahweh) only directed that one Building be built
and Solomon built it.
Yahshua
did it... "Yahshua went up on a mountainside and
called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He
appointed twelve-designating them apostles-that they might
be with him and that he might send them out to preach and
to have authority to drive out demons." Mark 3:13-15
-
Yahshua had many followers and he taught the multitudes
however, when it came to in-depth teaching and sharing that
required understanding on the part of the student, He called
The 12 together, a small group,
a Shama’ Group.
So
did the first Believers in Messiah. ..."All the
believers were together and had everything in common. Selling
their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had
needs. Every day they continued to meet together in the
temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying
the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their
number daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:44-47
-
Are you tired of not utilizing your gifts and seeing hollow
ministry go forth? Why do we read in Scripture of Deep Kingdom
impact among the unsaved and are not currently witness of
it in the "Church" of today? The answer is simple,
the "Church" has Lost its way
and no longer in One Accord. Unity
is a Kingdom Principle that was
understood and active during the First Century as witnessed
in this Scripture. Usually we lack unity in the same Congregations,
much less across the Body of the Messiah. * These Shama’
Groups provide a platform whereby we can once again begin
to walk in one accord.
And there is more "To the Jews who had believed
him, Yahshua said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you
are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and
the truth will set you free.’" Yochanan (John)
8:31-32
-
The Truth will set you free. Such an easy concept, yet it
has been so hard to walk out. Scriptures tells us plainly
that it is Truth, not tradition that sets
us free. What happens when Truth contradicts our traditions?
You have to make a choice. Will you walk in tradition or
be set free?
..."Therefore
confess your sins to each other and pray for each other
so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man
is powerful and effective." James 5:16
-
Nowhere does the Scripture above say the prayers of everyone
are powerful and effective, only the Prayer of the Righteous.
..."We
loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you
not only the gospel of Yahweh, but our lives as well, because
you had become so dear to us." 1 Thessolonians 2:8
-
Relationship is the bases of all things. It is the bases
for Teaching, Learning, Seeking the Truth, Revelation, Redemption,
and Restoration and for Unity with each other and with our
Creator.
